Phyllis Evelyn Porter

MAGNOLIA - Phyllis Evelyn Porter, of Denton, Md., formerly of Magnolia, Del. passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Caroline Nursing and Rehab Center. Phyllis was the daughter of Elmer and Esther G. Applegate Trice of Federalsburg. She was a member of Capital Baptist Church of Dover since 1982. She attended Concord Methodist Church as a child. Phyllis was a member of AARP and of the Upper Shore Genealogy Society. She attended Del Tech College for 2 years. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Helen Marie Carter, and a granddaughter Samantha Brown. She is survived by five children, C. Wayne and Shirley Brown of Magnolia, Del., David A. and Shelly Brown of Federalsburg, Md., Penny and John Ruff, Sr. of Berlin, Md., K. Mark and Debbie Brown of Silver Springs, Nev., Glenn and Doris Brown of Dover, Del.; (11) grandchildren (14) great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at noon, at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market Street, Greenwood, DE 19950. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon. Interment will be held at Concord Cemetery, Federalsburg, Md.
