Phyllis Edwina Carroll, 64

SEVERNA PARK, Md. - Phyllis Edwina Carroll of Severna Park died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, in Brooklyn Park. She was 64.

Mrs. Carroll was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Denton, fourth of eight children of the late William S. and Christina E. Brown.

She was raised in Denton and educated in the Caroline County public school system.

Mrs. Carroll enjoyed life and loved her family dearly. In fact, she loved everyone, and everyone loved her. She smiled all the time and always gave of herself and shared whatever she had with others. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching TV in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William S. Brown Jr., Norman Maurice Brown and Reginald Brown.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gerald Brown of Easton, and Darin and Karen Brown of Denton; four grandchildren, Tamika Baynard, Brittany Brown, Briana Brown and Marvin Beulah, all of Denton; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Richard and Ophelia Brown of New Castle, Del., and Kenneth and Barbara Brown of Roxboro, N.C.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sharon Brown of Germantown, and Dalphine and Gerald Cager of Severna Park; two additional sisters-in-law, Kathleen Brown-Carter and Thelma Brown-Wallace; an aunt, Agnes Ellis of North Hills, Pa.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be noon Tuesday in Christ Episcopal Church, 105 Gay St., Denton, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Denton.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Easton.
