HARRINGTON - Phyllis Ann Brown Curtiss, was picked for God's bouquet on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008. She was 75. God only picks the best. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be remembered for her laughter, which was contagious. Phyllis worked for the former W.T. Grant Company for 25 years before it closed. She worked for the J.C. Penney Company in Milford until it closed, and then transferred to the loan department of J.C. Penney Bank in Harrington, which was sold to the First National Bank of Wyoming and she retired from there. After a few months of retirement, she went to work for Happy Harry's in Harrington. It was hard keeping her still. She was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Milford and the Harrington Senior Center. Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Tony Brown, her mother, Matilda Sapp Brown Cornish, and a sister, G. Eloise Outten in June 2008. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Calvin Curtiss; a son, Steve Curtiss and his wife Dawn, of Harrington; a daughter, Kathy Gove and her husband Mark of Milford; grandchildren, Christine Curtiss of Harrington, Gregory Curtiss of Felton, Natalee Milburn, of Millsboro, Billy Brown, of Harrington, Nicole Curtiss of Harrington, Jesse Gove of Nevada, Kyle, Steven, William, and Danielle Gove all of Milford; two great-grandchildren, Christin Wilhelm and Jonathan Carey, both of Harrington; sisters, Irene M. "Teenie" Pierson and her husband Edgar of Milford, and Mary "Noop" Pippen and her husband Billy of Felton; a brother Tom Brown and his wife Donna of Milford; and a brother-in-law, Clifford Outten of Harrington; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Lighthouse Christian Center, 662 Milford - Harrington Hwy., Milford. Burial wil be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford - Harrington Hwy., Harrington.
