FT. LUPTON, Colo. - Philip T. Pfannebecker passed away on Sept. 27, 2016 in his home, surrounded by his family. Phil was born in Herkimer, N.Y., on Aug. 25, 1949. He and his family lived in Dryden, N.Y., until they relocated to Dover, in 1962. He attended Caesar Rodney High School and graduated in 1967. He then followed his love of the outdoors and moved to Colorado to attend Colorado State University. He loved the beauty of Colorado and spent the rest of his life there. In his free time, Phil enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and riding ATV's. Phil joined the Navy during the Vietnam War where he served as a Corpsman at Norfolk Naval Hospital. He worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for a dedicated 33 years and was also the Union Rep there for many years. He helped form a 4-H club where he taught his sons and other young people about raising and showing animals, woodworking, and shooting sports. Phil loved tools and had a passion for building things. He was an avid woodworker who also enjoyed remodeling and carpentry. Phil and his wife, Debbie, were married in 2011. The couple enjoyed working together in their yard, playing with their three golden retrievers and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Phil will be dearly missed by all. Mr. Pfannebecker was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Pfannebecker and Gladys (Shaver) Pfannebecker; and infant sister, Debbie. Phil is survived by his wife, Deborah Windholz, of Ft. (Sarah) Pfannebecker, of LaSalle, Colo., Ryan (Megan) Pfannebecker, of Brighton, Colo.; step-children, Nicole (Matthew) Contreras, of Keenesburg, Colo.; Nathan (Mandy) Windholz, of Brighton, Colo.; six grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
