Penelope Annette Price

DOVER - Penelope Annette Price passed away, Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at home.
Mrs. Price was born Feb. 7, 1937 in Frackville, Pa. to the late Ross Wood and Verda Timmins Wood. She had graduated from Butler Township High School in Fountain Springs, Pa. Mrs. Price was selected to be a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She spent the next 30 years as a military wife until her husband Thomas's retirement in June of 1986.
She primarily was a homemaker but had worked as a bakery manager in North Dakota and at Dover Air Force Base. Mrs. Price was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Pinchat.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas D. Price, Jr. of Dover; daughter, Sharon Lynn Hunter of Royal Palm, Fla.; sons, Thomas D. Price, III of Camden and Darrin J. Price and his wife Deanna of Smyrna; brothers, Ross J. Wood of Frackville, Pa. and Barry L. Wood of Mahanoy City, Pa.; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
