Pearl P. Nickerson

Pearl P. Nickerson was born in Earlville, Pa., on Dec. 15, 1931 the daughter of the late Henry and Viola Wolf Pennypacker. Mrs. Nickerson attended Pine Grove School in Earlville. She began working in a shoe factory at the age of 16. She met and married William Weller of Boyertown, Pa., and he preceded her in death. In 1974, she moved to the Millington area, where she met Malin Nickerson. They married a few years later and made their home in Clayton, Del. In addition to her parents and first husband she was preceded in death by her second husband, Malin Nickerson in 1998; one brother, Russell Pennypacker in 1997; and two sisters, Ethel Moyer and Rosa Knepp She is survived by one son, Donald Bruce Weller of Richmond,Va.; two daughters, Christine Davis of Md. and Gloria Blatt of Pa.; one brother, Henry Pennypacker Jr. of Oxford, Pa.; ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home 370 Cypress St. Millington, MD. Visitation will be held from 12 noon - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Millington Asbury Cemetery in Millington, MD.
