Pauline (Morgan) Paynter Wiest, 89

GEORGETOWN - Pauline (Morgan) Paynter Wiest of Georgetown passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007, in Lifecare at Lofland Park, Seaford. She was 89.

Mrs. Wiest was born in Ellendale, daughter of the late Dorsey G. Sr. and Estella Mae (Palmer) Morgan.

She was a homemaker for many years.

Mrs. Wiest was a life member of the Broadkiln Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6984 Ladies Auxiliary, past District Four President of the Department of Delaware, and a former member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1384, Seaford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Marshall Paynter Sr.; her second husband, Preston S. Wiest; two brothers, Carl and Dorsey Morgan; and a sister, Mary Hester Bush.

She is survived by one daughter, Etta L. Edwards of Georgetown; one son, Charles M. Paynter Jr. of Felton; a stepdaughter, Yvonne Heberling and her husband Jack of Naples, Fla.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Meta E. Pepper of Georgetown, and Naomi L. Betts of Milton; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Pauline"s memory to Delaware Hospice, 21067 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947; or Lifecare at Lofland Park, 715 E. King St., Seaford, DE 19973.
