Pauline M. Johnson, 86

MAGNOLIA - Pauline M. Johnson, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, in the Delaware Hospice House, Milford. She was 86. She was born on Dec. 17, 1922, in St. Georges, daughter of the late Leslie and Grace (Heverin) Sartin. Pauline enjoyed life as a homemaker. She was dedicated to her family and grandchildren and her hobbies included gardening and bird watching, especially cardinals. She was a loyal Phillies fan. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Johnson in 1985; a sister; and three brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Jone Napolitano and her husband Frank of Camden, and Linda Carter and her husband Steve of Magnolia; a son, Harvey Johnson and his wife Jodie of Magnolia; a sister, Iris Baldwin of Smyrna; two brothers, Hazel Sartin and Larry Sartin both of Smyrna; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice House, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
