Pauline Harrington Smith

GREENSBORO, Md. - Pauline Harrington Smith died on August 6, 2012, in her home. She was born in Bridgetown on May 23, 1931, to the late Earl S. and Mildred Baynard Harrington. Mrs. Smith was a 1948 graduate of Ridgely High School. She worked for Greensboro Garment Factory for 10 years, then as a dietary aide for the Caroline Nursing Home, retiring in 1993. She attended the New Life Wesleyan Church, Greensboro. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Smith, Sr.; a son, Charles C. Smith, Jr.; a daughter, Debby McClyment; and a sister, Marie Alexander. She is survived by a son, Jay Smith of Fla.; two daughters, Janice Smith of Felton, Del. and Linda Scott and husband Jeff of Denton; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, August 9, 2012, in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.
