DOVER - Paulette Bowers died Thursday, Feb.11, 2021 at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover.
Paulette was born in Rockville, MD to the late Paul and LaRue Virginia Rush Silcott. She moved to Dover in 1966 and through the years she worked at Delaware State News in the 1980s and Simon's Bridal Shop in the 90s and was owner of Bower's Signs Co.
She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, taking care of her many plants and loved listening to the tunes of Elvis Pressley.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Harold Silcott and Dallas M. Cooper and a niece Shannon Cooper.
Besides her son, Travis Bowers, of Dover, she is also survived by her daughter, Holly Bowers, of Monterey Bay, CA.
A brother, Gary Silcott (Shirley), of Gainsville, FL., a sister, Sandra Silcott Painter, of Franklin, VA and family members: Heath Silcott of Edinburg, VA, Lindi Cooper Bay (David) of Slidell, LA, Kristi Cooper of Baton Rouge, LA, Kelly Cooper Gritzmacher (Harold) and their daughters Hannah Elizabeth and Sophia Cooper of Delafield, WI and Tracy Cooper of Baton Rouge, LA and Kimberly Cooper of Huntsville, AL and a sister-in-law: Lucille Campbell Cooper of Huntsville, AL.
Funeral Services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday February 17th at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901, where friends may call starting at 5 p.m. Burial will be private in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, DE.
Family suggests donations in her memory to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Cir., Camden, DE 19934.
