DOVER - Paul Franklin Comegys, Sr. "Pete" passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
He was born on October 11, 1937, in Hazlettville, Del. to the late Paul L. Comegys and Evelyn Caldwell.
Mr. Comegys worked as a Truck Driver for Wyoming Concrete for 27 years. He enjoyed NASCAR and dirt track racing. He loved spending time outdoors, crabbing, fishing, and golfing.
In addition to his parents; Mr. Comegys was preceded in death by his son, Paul Franklin Comegys, Jr.; half-brother, Curtis Bennett; and sister, Evelyn Gilbert.
Mr. Comegys is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Comegys of Dover, Del.; son, Jimmy Ortiz of Marydel, Del.; daughters, Candy Comegys of Hartly, Del., Clara Comegys of Dover, Del., Terry Comegys of Dover, Del.; half-brother, Norman Comegys; half-sister, Starann Bennett; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Maranatha Fellowship Mennonite Church, 60 Deer Track Lane, Dover, DE, 19904. Friends may call two hours prior. Interment will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be given to Maranatha Fellowship Mennonite Church, 60 Deer Track Lane, Dover, DE, 19904.
