MIDDLETOWN - Paul A. Dotson passed away suddenly on December 14, 2022. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of the late Barbara Kirwan and James Dotson.
Paul was currently employed as a warehouseman for the News-Journal, and he had been there for about six months. Previously, he had worked in the warehouse for Reichhold Chemical in Cheswold and had been there for approximately five years.
Paul was a 1987 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School. He had played baseball in the Camden Wyoming Little league and also had served as a coach. He also played baseball for Caesar Rodney and earned All-State honors as a shortstop his senior year. Paul was an avid fisherman, loved to golf, and when he was younger, enjoyed camping. Paul was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Paul is survived by his sister, Amy Newton and her husband Craig of Middletown; his niece, Kayla Newton of Edgewater, NJ; his nephew, Jake Newton of Rochester, MN; his niece, Nicole Hartman and her husband David of Crofton, MD; his uncle, Randy Dotson and his wife Teresa of Wyoming; his uncle, Bill Dotson and his wife Madelyn of Barboursville, WV; his aunt, Frances Armstrong of Brazil, Indiana; and numerous friends.
A Celebration of Life will be 12 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be private.
