Patsy Joan Bishop Engle

SMYRNA - Patsy Joan Bishop Engle went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Kent General Hospital. She was 72. Mrs. Engle was born on Dec. 23, 1941, in Camden-Wyoming, Del. to the late Walter F. Bishop and Rachel Mae Shahan Bishop. She was a homemaker and a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Engle was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Smyrna and volunteered for many years at Capitol Baptist School in Dover preparing and serving lunches in the school's cafeteria where her grandchildren attended. Mrs. Engle is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry E. Engle, Sr. of Smyrna; her children, Kimberly Carrow and her husband Bill of Dover, Larry E. Engle, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Dover, Jeffrey Dale Engle of Smyrna, and Mark Ashley Engle and his wife Nicole of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Jesse B. Bishop and his wife Joan of Harrington; sisters, Betty Lou McQuaide of Rising Sun, and Rachel Ann McClain and her husband James of Smyrna; her grandchildren, Sean, Justin, Ryan and his wife Amanda, Shaina and her husband John, Isaac, Amanda, Rachel, Kaylie, Bailey, Madelyn and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Anthony and Liliana; as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
