Patricia 'Patti' Mesnak, 73 DOVER - Patricia "Patti" Mesnak, of Dover, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 4, 2008. She was 73. She was born Feb. 12, 1935, in Johnstown, Pa., to Eli and Amelia (Koslin) Devich. Mrs. Mesnak had lived in Johnstown, Pa., until moving to Dover in 1968. She had been a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Johnstown prior to joining Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover. Mrs. Mesnak had been a devoted active member of the Holy Cross Parish and had served several capacities as a volunteer. She had been an active Girl Scout Leader in past years. Her devotion to parish activities was endless and her presence truly made a difference. Mrs. Mesnak was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed those moments spent with family and friends. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed the many hours spent with her granddaughter. Mrs. Mesnak will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Ciccone and Marion Wisz. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rudolph P. Mesnak of Dover; son, Mark A. Mesnak of Felton; two daughters, Michelle Johnston and her husband Randy of Hartly and Patricia Ann Cass of Dover; one granddaughter, Jessica M. King of Dover; and two sisters, Marlene Bennett of Johnstown, Pa., and Millie Moncilovich of Val Paraiso, Ind. Friends may call from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, S. State Street, Dover. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. The family suggests donations in her memory to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.
