Patricia M. 'Patsy' Otwell, 76

GALENA, Md. - Patricia M. "Patsy" Otwell, of Galena, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, in Chester River Hospital, Chestertown. She was 76.

Mrs. Otwell was born on Aug. 17, 1931, in Massey, daughter of the late John P. and Marie Naylor Moffett.

She was raised in Galena and lived in Elkton, early in her marriage for several years before returning to Galena in 1959, where she raised her family.

Mrs. Otwell had worked at Galena School in the cafeteria and for Flowers by Libby in Chestertown.

During the 1970s she was a District Court Commissioner for Kent County.

Mrs. Otwell was a devoted member of St. Dennis Roman Catholic Church, where she was active with the Rosary and Altar Society and participated in all parish functions.

Mrs. Otwell was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Dallas J. Otwell in 1994.

She is survived by a son, J. Michael Otwell and his wife Donna of Betterton; a daughter, M. Patricia Clark and her husband Danny of Galena; a sister, Joann Alfree of Chestertown; and four grandchildren, Michael and Abby Otwell and Danny and Lindsey Poore.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Dennis Roman Catholic Church, 153 N. Main St., Galena.

Burial will be in Galena Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to St. Dennis Rosary and Altar Society, P.O. Box 249, Galena, MD 21635.
