SMYRNA - Patricia "Tricia" E. Guertin (nee Burns), 45, of Smyrna, died on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010. Tricia was a graduate of the Clarke School for the Deaf in Northampton, Mass., and a graduate of the Amherst Regional High School in Amherst, Mass. She also attended Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, Mass. She was employed in many fields over her brief lifetime, but was most satisfied when she was able to utilize her artistic and creative talents. Tricia was a member and participated in many organizations for the advancement of people with disabilities. She possessed an enviable and childlike belief in her GOD and looked for the good in everyone she met. Tricia was preceded in death by her father, John F. Burns. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Patricia Burns (nee Leonard). She loved and was loved in return by her large and close family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide and varied array of friends. Her physical presence will be missed but her spirit will remain in all who knew her. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 16, at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Ransom Lane and South St., Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Clarke School for the Deaf, Round Hill Road, Northampton, MA 01060. Letters of condolence may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com.
