Patricia Banks Coleman passed away on March 8, 2021.
Patricia was born on November 7, 1930, in Petersburg, W.Va. to Nelle and Oscar Banks. She received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Fairmont State College and taught in the Caesar Rodney School District for 25 years. Patricia married Robert A. Coleman and they raised three children.
Patricia was a member of the Dover YMCA for many years and faithfully swam or worked out daily up until her death. Her dedication to a healthy lifestyle was admired by all who knew her. She was an avid gardener, reader, and she enjoyed antiques.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert A. Coleman; as well as two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her children, Nelle Coleman of Dover, William Coleman of Colorado, and Robert Coleman, Jr. of Dover; as well as a grandson, Jackson Coleman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice. Memorial gifts can be made online, over the phone, or via check.
