Patricia Ann 'Pat' LePore, 64

MARYDEL, Md. - Patricia "Pat" Ann LePore, of Marydel, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, in her son's home. She was 64.

She was born April 3, 1943, in Washington, D.C., to the late William Elmer and Dora A. Bell Miller.

Mrs. LePore was a 1960 graduate of Suitland High School, Suitland, Md.

She worked for the Department of the Navy until moving to Marydel in 1962.

Mrs. LePore then worked for Kent County Department of Social Services before retiring from Caroline County Department of Social Services in November 2005.

She married her husband, Joseph LePore, on June 30, 1962.

Mrs. LePore joined the Marydel Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary on March 3, 1994.

She was an active member of both the Kent County Delaware and Caroline County Auxiliaries holding the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary and Co-Chairperson for the State Conference Committee for the LADFA from 2004-07.

When not at the firehouse, Mrs. LePore enjoyed eating crabs, playing bingo, crafts, computers, shopping and sharing time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sara LePore; and son, Anthony LePore

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joseph LePore of Marydel; three sons, Joseph LePore of Henderson, John and his wife Victoria LePore of Henderson, and William "Billy" LePore of Marydel; a daughter, Deborah and her husband Billy Hutson of Henderson; two brothers, William and his wife Judy Miller of Churchton and Al and his wife Terri Miller of Marydel; one sister, Beverly Taylor of Felton; one nephew, Jimmy Miller of Marydel; three nieces, Melissa Anderson of New York, Chrissy Taylor of Felton, and Tammy and her husband Will Carns of Camden, Del.; two great-nephews, Caleb Miller and Robbie Anderson; three granddaughters, Anna Hutson, Krystle Poppiti and Samantha Poppiti; two great-grandsons, Hunter Hurd and Wyatt Hurd.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Marydel Volunteer Fire Co., where services will be 11 a.m. Thursday.

Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro.
