Pastor James Geraint Koch, 84

DOVER - Pastor James Geraint Koch, of Dover, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 84.

Pastor Koch was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Emmaus, Pa., to the late James A. Koch and Rosa Gehman Koch.

He graduated from Goshen College, Goshen, Ind., with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts.

He was a pastor of Bible Fellowship Church in the Lancaster, York, Reading, Allentown, Pa., area as well as Camden.

Pastor Koch loved the work he was called to do. He held nondenominational meetings with ministers of area churches; he enjoyed doing his visitation at hospitals, and enjoyed other jobs associated with being a minister.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gawain B. Koch.

Pastor Koch is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beaula "Bea" Marie King Koch of Dover; two nieces and two nephews of Pennsylvania; and his very close friend who he and his wife considered their daughter and her family, Jill Perrin and her husband Pat of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and their children Lorraine and Pastor Koch's namesake, James.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Bible Fellowship Church, 201 E. Camden/Wyoming Ave., Camden, DE 19934.
