Parker E. Failor, 71

LEWES - Parker E. Failor, of Lewes, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 71.

He was born Aug. 19, 1936, in Philadelphia, son of the late Parker P. and June Elizabeth (Sweeney) Failor.

Mr. Failor relocated to Delaware 60 years ago.

He enjoyed a long career with Acme Food stores working both in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Mr. Failor then worked for Graves Uniforms in Lewes for 20 years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was a regular "jack of all trades." He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan (Ingram) Failor; two daughters, Iva Jane Fagan and husband Luke of Rehoboth Beach, and Christine McCarty of Lewes; and one granddaughter, Ragen McCarty of Lewes.

There will be a graveside committal at 2 p.m. Friday in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.

The Rev. Larry Wanaselja will officiate.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.

Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes.
