HARTLY, DE - Pam Richards passed away February 24, 2023 at home after dealing with cancer for four years.
She was the daughter of the late Helen and Paul Nickerson of Bridgetown, MD. She was born March 8, 1960 at Kent General Hospital, Dover, in a blizzard and graduated in 1978 from North Caroline High School in Denton.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Glenn Richards and his wife Michelle; and two sisters, Shirley Conor and Joan Courtney.
She is survived by her husband, Ernie; son, Jason Nickerson (Lisa); four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Elva "Pinky" Burrows (Isaac), of Smyrna, and Mary Carpenter, of Louisiana; and a brother, Clinton Wheeler (Sherri), of Bridgetown, MD.
Pam loved to travel and camp and visited most of the U.S. states. She worked in Insurance most of her short life, and retired in 2019 due to her health. She loved life and was always smiling even near the end. Anyone who met her, liked her right away. Pam loved her Yorkie (Queaky), both being inseparable. A special mention to her childhood and best friend Diana Carroll (Yogi), and two special friends, Stacy Johnson and Debbie Plack.
Pam will be cremated with no public services.
