CAMDEN — A 23-year-old Dover man has died from injuries suffered in a dirt bike crash Tuesday, Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.
Authorities said that at approximately 5:34 p.m., a white 2022 Husqvarna FC 250 dirt bike was traveling northbound on Honeysuckle Road north of Willow Tree Circle.
For unknown reasons, police said, the driver lost control of the dirt bike, exited the east (right) side of the roadway, and struck a ditch.
The driver was thrown a short distance from the bike and was critically injured, police said. He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
The driver died Wednesday, police said. His name is being withheld until his family and relatives are notified.
There were no other vehicles involved, and there were no passengers on the dirt bike.
