TYLERTOWN, Miss. - Ollie Warren Brock of Tylertown passed away peacefully Thursday, July 26, 2007, in Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford, Del., surrounded by her family. She was 89.
Mrs. Brock was the daughter of the late Viola and Christopher Warren Holmes. She was the fourth of nine children.
She moved to Houston, Del., from her home in DeRidder, La., in summer 1999.
Mrs. Brock was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Christian Center Church, Milford.
She was witty and smart and her laughter and joy were infectious.
Her dedication to her family and her faith in God will be her legacy, a true legacy of love.
Mrs. Brock will be remembered as a warm and generous matriarch, who believed in the saving power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Her husband of 49 years, the Rev. Gordon W. Brock, preceded her in death in January 1985.
She is survived by a sister, Naomi Bryant; her nieces and nephews, Genelda and husband, Wayne Cornwell, Sylvia and husband, Charles Lee, Betty and husband, Curley Smith, Faye and husband, Donald Corkern, Ann and husband, Douglas Seal, Glenda and husband, Royce Andrus, Patty and husband, Ronald Bryan and Terry and wife, Debbie Brock; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday at Lighthouse Christian Center, Milford.
Additional services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the First UPC Church in Bogalusa, La., where friends may call after 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in Ponamah Memorial Park, Bogalusa.
