Oliver 'Charles' Hayes, 87
SEAFORD - Oliver "Charles" Hayes of Seaford, formerly of Laurel, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, in Methodist Manor House, Seaford. He was 87.
Mr. Hayes was born in Laurel, son of the late Earl and Frances Hayes.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He and his late wife were the former owners of Tastee-Freez in Laurel.
Mr. Hayes was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Laurel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Hayes, in November.
He is survived by a niece, Emily Jane Sullivan, and her husband, Norman, of Delmar; a nephew, Samuel Workman, and his wife, Bunny, of Media, Pa.; a cousin, Robert Hayes of Dover; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel. The Rev. John Van Tine will officiate.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Centenary United Methodist Church, 200 Market St., Laurel, DE 19956.
