Norma Saulsbury

Norma (Dansereau) Saulsbury, 78

RIDGELY, Md. - Norma (Dansereau) Saulsbury of Ridgely died Monday, April 17, 2007, in the Salisbury Center. Born March 3, 1929, she was 78.

Born in Claremont, N.H., Mrs. Saulsbury was the daughter of the late Edward I. and Edna Kirk Dansereau. She and her husband, A. Orrell Saulsbury Jr., were married in 1950. He died on Feb. 8, 2004.

Mrs. Saulsbury graduated from Radford (Va.) University. She moved to Ridgely from Bluefield, W.Va. with her husband after their marriage. She became a member of the Ridgely United Methodist Church and was active in women's golf at the Caroline Country Club. She was also active with the Jr. Auxiliary Board at the Easton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Saulsbury and her husband also made their home in the communities of Naples, Fla., for 20 years, and Bethany Beach, Del., for 35 years.

She is survived by one son, A. Orrell Saulsbury III and his wife Jeanne of Ridgely; four daughters, Martha O'Reilly of Houston, Texas, Anita Hobbs and her husband George Edward of Jacksonville, N.C., Elizabeth Gregory and her husband Scott of Bishopville, and Andrea Jalbert of Concord, N.H.; one brother, Harry Dansereau of Bowling Green, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, Angela S. Allen, Pamela S. Wall, A. Orrell Saulsbury IV, Jessica E. O'Reilly, G. Edward Hobbs III, Stacey K. Hobbs, Kevin P. Gregory, S. Travis Gregory, P. Matthew Jalbert and Andrew D. Jalbert; and one great-grandchild, Avery J. Allen.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ridgely United Methodist Church on Central Avenue in Ridgely. Friends may visit with the family after the memorial service. The internment will be private.
