PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Norma Kay Outten Hurley of Princess Anne, Md. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2007, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. while surrounded by her loving family. She was 57.
She was born in Crisfield, Md. on Oct. 7, 1949, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman and Anna Mae Outten.
Mrs. Hurley was a graduate of the Pocomoke Warriors class of 1968.
She is survived by her very loving and devoted husband of 17 years, Thomas H. Hurley Jr. of Princess Anne; three loving and devoted daughters, Norma Jean Dugan of Salisbury, Kimberly Anne Davis of Princess Anne, and Jamie Lynn Torres and her husband, David Michael Torres, whom she loved deeply and thought of as her own son, also of Princess Anne; four grandchildren that she adored, David Michael Torres Jr., Brittany Alexis Davis, Emily Michelle Davis, and Jaycee Lynn Torres; two sisters, Gladys Mills of New Church, Va. and Barbra Culp of Pocomoke City, Md.; four nieces; and two nephews; and a host of other friends and relatives; as well as her special pet, Buffy.
The family would like to send a very special thanks out to the staff of Peninsula Regional Medical Center"s M.C.I.C.U. Unit - Sandy, Mary, Theresa, Tina, Nancy, Mart and Mercy - from Five East.
And finally we quote: "It is a good thing to be rich and to be strong, but it is a better thing to be loved." Our mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend was truly loved by us all and will be greatly missed.
