CAMDEN - Norma Jeanne Parker of Camden, formerly of Millsboro, died Sunday, April 22, 2007, in Silver Lake Center, Dover. She was 65.
Mrs. Parker was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Camden, daughter of Mabel (Sheppard) Reed of Dover and the late George Raymond Reed.
She was a 1960 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School.
Mrs. Parker was medical transcriptionist for Bayhealth Medical Services.
Prior to her illness, she enjoyed playing guitar and keyboard, and was a member of various bands, including the Hillbillies and Country Diamonds.
Mrs. Parker was a member of the Harrington Women of the Moose Lodge.
In addition to her father, she preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Parker Jr., in 2004.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Michael Parker of Wilmington, and Gary Parker of Milford; a daughter, Nicole and her husband Ken Wilkins Jr. of Milford; two grandsons, Jackson Wilkins and Cooper Wilkins; five stepchildren and their spouses, Buddy and Phyllis Parker of Greenwood, Eddy and Karen Parker of Bridgeville, Jimmy and Cathy Parker of Seaford, Jerry and Kathy Parker of Greenwood, and Kay and Ben Chaffinch of Seaford; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, Md., where services will be 11 a.m. Friday.
Burial will be in the Templeville (Md.) Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Two Mill Road, Suite 106, Wilmington, DE 19806.
