HENDERSON, Md. - Norma (Simms) Harper of Henderson died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in Henderson. She was 77.
Mrs. Harper was born April 23, 1930, in Monticello, Maine, daughter of the late Harley Smith and Catherine Almeda (Miller) Simms.
She was a 1947 graduate of Ricker High School.
Mrs. Harper worked for ACAP, a social service agency. She was the town manager of Monticello for 19 years. She later worked for Chester River Hospital.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Harper of Green, R.I.; two daughters, Carolyn Harper Smith of Blades, Del., and Peggy Harper Betch of Henderson; a sister, Ella Harper of Montana; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouses, Harvey Charles Harper and Carl F. Burlock.
Services will be noon Friday at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, Seaford. Burial will be private.
