Nick E. Carter, 57

FELTON - Nick E. Carter, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 57. He was born on April 8, 1952 in Dover, son of the late Charles and Katherine (Haughey) Carter. Nick was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, Class of 1970. He was a self-employed HVAC contractor for 30+ years. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and boating. He was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Mosher. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda Carter; three children, Christopher S. Carter and his wife Jenna of Phoenix, Ariz., Becky Ann Beeler and her husband TSgt USAF Chad of Dover, and Coast Guard Petty Officer Jason R. Carter of Miami, Fla.; five grandchildren, Marisa, Trey, Brianna, Kaylee and Capri; mother-in-law, Eppie Haines; nieces, nephew, extended family, and friends; and his Bichon, Rocky. Services were Sept. 28 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Burial followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
