Nicholas A. Sawyer of Dover died suddenly on July 15, 2023 in New Haven, CT.
Nick was an over the road trucker and was currently employed for Reed Trucking Company. His hobbies included eating, fishing and I-racing. Nick was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nick is survived by his mother and father, Jacqueline A. Sawyer and Wes E. Meredith of Dover; his sister Erica Meredith of Dover; his brother Jerry Petrowski and his significant other Amy of Dover; his maternal grandmother Virginia E. Sawyer of Dover; his nephew Jake Meredith; his niece Aryanna Meredith; his nephew Rhysand Petrowski; and Chase, to whom he served as a mentor. Nick was preceded in death by his sister Heather Meredith and by his maternal grandfather George Sawyer.
A viewing will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the funeral home, where there will be an additional viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
