Nellie Holmes, 79

FELTON - Nellie Holmes of Felton departed this life Sunday, May 27, 2007, in Milford Manor. She was 79.

Nellie was born Sept. 19, 1927, to the late Benjamin and Blanche Anderson. She married Floyd Holmes on August 11, 1945.

Left to cherish her memories of her life are one son, McClennon R. "Clint" Holmes of Felton; two daughters; Lessie R. "Rell" Holmes-Johnson of Felton and Deborah Holmes-Bozeman of Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Paula Holmes; a son-in-law, Edward Bozeman; five grandchildren, Danene Ridgway, Floyd R. Holmes, McClennon P. Holmes, Dana Bryant and Deanna L. Bozeman; seven great-grandchildren, Derek, Elijah, Brooke, Michael, Myles, Dante and Deavion; two grandsons-in-law, Darius Bryant and Mack Ridgway; two granddaughters-in-law; Nicole Holmes and Erica Holmes; three sisters-in-law; Catherine Harrison and Frances Bennett, both of Philadelphia, and Bessie Anderson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one uncle, James Britt Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Healing Wings Christian Center, 1420 McKee Road, Dover, where friends may view two hours prior. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery.
