CAMDEN-WYOMING - Nedra G. Medford passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 101. Nedra was born on September 22, 1912 in Dover, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Price Gooden. She was an extremely devoted wife and mother. Nedra worked for Playtex in Dover, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. She also assisted with the family's business, Medford Mills keeping the books and bagging flour, cornmeal, and animal feed for customers. Nedra was an avid gardener and carried her green thumb through to her retirement along with her love of reading. She was a woman of strong character with an unwavering devotion to her family while living a quiet life with simple values. Nedra was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Paul J. Medford; daughter, Verona Webb; and a grandson, David Webb. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ori of Dover; four grandchildren, Dawn Webb, Holly Webb, Dennis Webb and Jeff Ori; six great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Seasons Hospice, & Palliative Care of Delaware, LLC, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
