Narcy John Kutz, 88
SEAFORD - Narcy John Kutz of Seaford, formerly of Annapolis, Md., died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 88.
Mr. Kutz was born Dec. 11, 1918, son of the late Anthony and Helen Kutz, who had lived in Askam, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard at Curtis Bay, Baltimore, during World War II.
He was a teacher and retired from Anne Arundel County Public Schools in 1980 after 34 years. He taught at Glen Burnie High School from 1946 to 1960, four years at Linganore High School in Frederick County and from 1967 to 1980 at Bates Middle School in Annapolis.
Mr. Kutz and his wife shared a passion for building houses and traveling in their Airstream trailer.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Sharpe) Kutz, to whom he was a devoted husband; two daughters, Geraldine Kutz of Falls Church, Va., and Nancy Kutz of Annapolis; and a brother and a sister-in-law, Joseph and Lou Kutz of St. Augustine, Fla.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St., Seaford.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Stein Highway, Seaford.
Burial will be in Maryland Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Beulah, Md., near Hurlock, Md.
