Naomi Blades Workman

SEAFORD - Naomi Blades Workman, age 86, of Seaford, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. Born in Bethlehem, Md., the daughter of the late Minnie Williamson and Charles Blades, she was a cafeteria worker at the Seaford Middle School before retiring. She is survived by a son, Lawrence A. Workman Jr. of Seaford; two daughters, Joyce W. Wheatley and husband David, and Deborah A. Kessel and husband Alan of Seaford; a sister, Ruth Taylor of Seaford; three grandchildren, Lisa Little and husband Russ, Mark Wheatley and wife Melissa, and Andrea Kessel; three great-grandchildren, Ethan and Rebecca Wheatley, and Reagan Little; and two special friends, Louise Williamson and Edna Walker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, George and Harry Blades. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front and King streets, Seaford, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in Junior Order Cemetery, Preston, Md.
