SMYRNA - Nancy Walker Libourel of Smyrna, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 82. Mrs. Libourel was born March 27, 1929, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles and Frances Walker. She owned and operated Blue Heron Antique's in Chestertown, Md. for many years. Mrs. Libourel had a passion for playing Bridge and was a Gold Life Master in Duplicate Bridge. She was an avid gardener. She was a founding member of The Branchburg, N.J. Woman's Club and was an active Member of the Rotary Club of Chestertown, Md. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Libourel in 1988. She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Allen and her husband Bruce of Elkton, Md., Sarah Houde and her husband Edward of Hollywood, Md., and Amy Agramonte and her husband John of Suwanee, Ga.; two sons, Herbert Libourel, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Houston, Texas, and Peter Libourel and his wife Deborah of Newnan, Ga.; two sisters, Kate Walker, and Susanne Clarke and her husband Robert; a brother, Richard Walker and his wife, Constance; and nine grandchildren. A viewing will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Sunday, August 7, 201, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 11am. Burial will be privately held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19904.
