Nancy Faye Vaughn

MILFORD - Nancy Faye Vaughnpassed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.
She was born on July 31, 1939 in Salisbury, Md. to the late Harry and Ella (Elliott) Smith. Nancy was a waitress retiring in 1989 and a member of the First Baptist Church of Milford, as well as a life member of the D.A.V. Chapter #1.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Vaughn, Sr. in 2012; sons, James and Henry Vaughn; and brother, Ernest Smith; and sister-in-law, Marie V. Ward.
She is survived by her children, Harry C. Vaughn, Donna F. Vaughn, John C. Vaughn, Jr. and Rebecca Marie Barlow, Linda Skidmore, David Donaldson Skidmore, Jr. and Emily Skidmore Troyer, Peter P. Otto, who considered her is mother; Aunt Catherine Grant ("Mama" Kitty) who raised her; sister, Pat Truitt; cousin, Karen Windsor; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
