Nancy C. Shope, 71
OCEAN VIEW - Nancy C. Shope, of Ocean View, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, in Windham Community Memorial Hospital, Windham, Conn. She was 71.
A longtime resident of Ocean View, Nancy was an active hospital volunteer, president of the Woman's Auxiliary in Kent, Ohio, and worked at Sea Crest Gallery in Bethany Beach.
Nancy also enjoyed the beach with her family and friends.
Her and her husband Don, who passed away in 1998, lived in Alliance, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Bel Air, Md., and Kent before retiring to Ocean View.
Nancy is lovingly remembered by her children, Don and Cynthia Shope of Clifton, Va., and Natalie and Ryan Griffin of Bolton, Conn.; as well as her grandchildren, Dan, Andrew, Keller and Kaia; her brothers, Carl, Bob, and Richard; and her sisters, Evelyn and Mary.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church, Central Avenue, Ocean View.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
