DOVER - Myrtle I. Harrington, of Dover, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, in Capital Healthcare Services, Dover. She was 103. She was born on Dec. 17, 1904, in Farmington, to the late Ebe and Ella Irons Cordray. She was a homemaker and resided on a farm most of her life. She enjoyed preparing large dinners for her family when they came for the holidays. Her homemade chocolate ice cream in the summer was a special treat. Her leisure time was spent by enjoying trips to the Delaware State Fair, the horse races where she met many wonderful friends, and visiting family in Michigan, Ohio, and Kansas. At the age of 95 she was taught how to knit by a very dear friend and caretaker, Anne Noyes. She took great pride in this and was proud of her handmade gifts which she gave at Christmas. She was also a member of the Delaware Farm Bureau. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Curley" Harrington in 1992; her daughter, Doris Elizabeth Harrington Harris in 2007, and four sisters, Sarah Clark, Kathryn Aaron, Elizabeth Vincent, Madelyn Willey; and her brother, Robert Cordray.
