DOVER - Muller Lou Morel of Dover passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at Kent General Hospital with his family by his side. He was 65. Mr. Morel was born October 17, 1949 in Port Au Prince Haiti to the late Rossini Luc Morel and Marie Violette-Morel and migrated to the United States as a teenager. He attended various schools and graduated from Pace University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 24 years retiring in 2000 as MSgt. After his retirement from the service he worked for DNRec as an Instrument Technician, calibrating laboratory instruments. Mr. Morel was a member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post #2 and the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dover. He enjoyed tennis and was a NY Giants fan; another passion was playing his guitar and the piano. Mr. Morel is survived by his wife of 32 years, Maribel Martinez-Morel off the Philippines; his sons, Michael L. and Thomas, all residents of Dover; his siblings, Mireille of Linden, Tenn., Maryse of Pleasantville, Tenn., Juliette & Gary of Orlando, Fla., Abel of Far Rockaway, N.Y., Ernst & Kalita of Hollis, N.Y. and Frantz & Tashawna of Boston, Mass.; sister and brother in-law, Rafaela and Verdin Staples, of Oxnard, Calif.; several in-laws, aunts/uncles, cousins, nieces, Johanna and Natasha; nephews, Richard, Jeffrey, Garrick, Jensen, Jahnyi; and great nephews, Jeremy, Joseph and recently added Jamari. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday evening. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
