MSgt. Frank W. Freeman passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. Frank was born on September 20, 1936, in Orlando, FL to the late Clyde Freeman.
Frank spent his childhood growing up in Florida. After graduating from high school, Frank joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed at several different bases before coming to Dover Air Force Base and meeting his wife, Eva. Frank served in the Air Force as a flight engineer for 23 years, earning the rank of Master Sergeant. Frank was a handyman who loved to spend his time tinkering, helping others, and watching Nascar. He also enjoyed watching the birds in his backyard, and he considered it his place of peace.
In addition to his father; Frank was preceded in death by his stepmother, Elizabeth Freeman; and brothers, Dan and Albert Freeman.
Frank is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva; daughters, Jennifer Ragan of Orlando, FL, Cathy (Ken) Jelonek of Franklin, TN, Karin LaMarche of Herndon, VA, and Vera LaMarche of Townsend, DE; brother and sisters, John Freeman, Barbara Railsback, Libby Freeman, and Mona Atkinson; grandchildren, Heather, Meghan, Laurence, Brandon, Andrea, Alexander, Rachel and Allyson.; and great-grandchildren, Haley, Cayden, Jayden, and Brayden; and first wife, June Scearce of Orlando, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11:00am at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E Lebanon Rd. (Rt. 10), Dover, DE. A visitation will be held an hour prior. (10am)
