LINCOLN - Miyoko Reckley, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016. Mrs. Reckley was born Feb. 18, 1930 in Tokyo, Japan. She worked as a dietary aide at Milford Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Reckley attended Calvary Assembly of God when she resided in Dover. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and vegetables, donating her vegetables to local shelters. She also loved to travel and spending time at the beach. Miyoko was an independent, strong willed person who sacrificed for her children and put others before herself. She is survived by her son, John L. Reckley of Lincoln; daughters, Takae U. Mason, of Dover, Jude Johnson-Shupe, and husband John, of Lewes; grandchildren, Cayla, Shelby and Dylan; great-grandchild, Evelyn. Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 2016 at Calvary Church, 1141 East Lebanon Road (RT10), Dover. Interment will be at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions be made to the Benevolence Fund or the Care Ministry at Calvary Church. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
