Miriam Louise Horney

FALLSTON, Md. - Miriam Louise Horney, of Fallston, Md., formerly of Smyrna, passed away on Aug. 23, 2018.
She was born in Chester County, Pa. on Nov. 28, 1925 the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Hollowell. She earned a bachelor's degree in Music from West Chester University and was employed as a music teacher for the Smyrna School District for many years. She had a great love of piano and had formerly served as a Captain in the Smyrna Civil Air Patrol.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Edwin J. Horney, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Reverend Doctor Edwin J. Horney, Jr and wife Jacque and David H. Horney and wife Donna; grandchildren, Allison L. Horney, David C. Horney, Tyler C. Horney, and Meghan M. Horney; and a great-grandchild, Luke J. Horney.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 at Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna. Her son, Rev. Dr. Edwin J. Horney, Jr. will officiate.
