Miriam J. Paoli, 75

MILLVILLE - Miriam J. Paoli of Millville died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. She was 75.

She was born in Wilmington, daughter to the late Meyer and Florence (Davis) Schwartz.

Mrs. Paoli was a homemaker, key punch operator and former owner of the Avenue 26 Dress Shop, Bethany Beach.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Paoli Sr; and two sons, Donald A. Paoli Jr. and Michael J. Paoli.

Mrs. Paoli is survived by a son, Lt. Col. Lance J. Paoli and his wife Denise; daughter, Debra Phillpotts and her husband Leon; seven grandchildren, Indee, Alexandra, Dominic, Chelsea, Matthew, Tonya and Andrew; and two great-grandchildren, Isabel and Cassidy.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Millville United Methodist Church, Del. 26, Millville.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, West Avenue, Ocean View.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Miriam's memory to Millville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1179, Millville, DE 19970; or American Cancer Society, Sussex County Unit, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21805.
