Mildred Ellsworth, 81

LEWES - Mildred Ellsworth of Lewes passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007, in Genesis Healthcare-Seaford Center. She was 81.

Mrs. Ellsworth was born July 25, 1925, daughter of the late Vernon and Nellie McCarter.

She was a loving mother and homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Ellsworth Jr., in 1997; and a son, William W. Ellsworth III in 2006.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy McCarty of Vineland, N.J., and Jo Ann Giles and her husband Ray of Pawleys Island, S.C.; two sons, Robert W. Ellsworth of Georgetown, and Joseph L. Ellsworth and his wife Christine of Wilmington; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Mildred's name to the Harbor Lights Cheer Center, 546 S. Bedford St., Georgetown, DE 19947, Attn. Florence Mason.
