Mildred (Scott) Brown, 97
Mildred (Scott) Brown of Bridgeville died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, in the Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Delmar. She was 97.
Mrs. Brown was born Feb. 25, 1909, in Georgetown, daughter of the late J. Carl Scott and Lillie Mae (Curdy) Scott.
She worked for the town of Bridgeville for many years and had served as town treasurer for over 25 years.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Union United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Orlan Brown in 1972; and a son, Wayne S. Brown.
She is survived by a son, J. Orlan Brown Jr. of Bridgeville; and a granddaughter, Donna Rothman of Winston Salem, N.C.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Bridgeville Cemetery, Laws Street. The Rev. Dale Brown will officiate.
