CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Mildred Arlene Blackiston, of Chestertown, died on June 12, 2011, at Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown. She was 79. She is survived by her husband, George David Blackiston of Chestertown; a son, Thomas George Blackiston of Elkton; a daughter Brenda Bea Young of Kennedyville; a brother, Herchel Whitlock of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Taylor Blackiston, Cameron Blackiston, Bobbi Young, and George Young; and one great-grandson, Seth McCabe. Funeral services will be noon, Wednesday, June 15, at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, where relatives and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
