Michael P. Higham Sr.

Michael P. Higham Sr., 36

SMYRNA - Michael P. Higham Sr. of Smyrna left his home on Earth to be with God on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007. He was 36.

He was born in Wilmington on March 12, 1971.

Mr. Higham was a pipefitter for Delcard Associates in Wilmington for three years and previously worked for WSMW for 10 years.

He enjoyed gardening, boating and fishing.

Mr. Higham is with God and now reunited with his only brother, Rodney M. Higham Jr., who passed away on March 14, 2007; and also his stepfather, Ronnie Vickers.

He is survived by his only child, Michael Paul Higham Jr. of Smyrna; his mother, Katherine Myers Vickers of Milford; his father and stepmother, Rod and Janice Higham of Smithville, Tenn.; his grandfather, Edward Myers of Wilmington; his sister-in-law, Marlene Higham of Ellendale; his wife, Roxanne Higham of Middletown; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be noon Monday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery.
