DOVER - Michael Manchester Short, formerly of Dover, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, in Terre Haute, Ind. due to asthma complications. He was born September 12, 1983, in Milford Del. Michael graduated in 2002 from the North Vigo High School in Terre Haute and also attended Indiana State University. Michael spent many summers in his early years in Delaware enjoying special times with his Dad and extended family. He is survived by his mother, Ada Ruth Short, of Terre Haute, and his father, Thomas Chester Short of Dover; step mother, Monica Short; step brothers & sisters, Mike, Tim, and Kate; aunts, Mary Ellen Short, and Betty Ann and her husband Bill; uncle, Ed and his wife Lucille; cousins, Andrew, Jacob, Joshua and Rebecca. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Horace and Betty Short of Wyoming, Del.; and Robert and Marjorie Smith of Terre Haute, Ind. Arrangements were made by the DeBaun Funeral Home of Terre Haute with a private burial. The family has asked for memorial contributions be made to; The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, 8201 Corporate Dr., Suite 1000, Landover, Maryland 20785. DE-Michael-Short.JPG/
