CAMDEN, Del. - Michael F. Emig passed away on Tuesday July 20, 2021.
Mike was the husband of Mary Ann Emig (nee McCosby) for 28 years. Father of Katie Emig of Annapolis, Md., Michelle Emig of Camden, Del., Steven Emig of Camden, Del. He is also survived by his brothers, Glenn Emig (Mark Kauffman) of Arlington, Va., Jerry Emig (Kathleen) of Barnegat, N.J.
Mike was born and raised in Mayfair, and then lived in Florida and Pittsburgh before moving to Delaware. He received his bachelor's degree in Engineering from Spring Hill College in Philadelphia and his MBA from Point Park College in Pittsburgh.
Mike was an engineer for Dentsply/Sirona in Delaware for 15 years and he loved his job. He was happy that he got to travel to many places for work and experience different cultures. Some of the places he had traveled to were Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Israel, and New Zealand. For hobbies, he played the guitar, mandolin, and piano. He also enjoyed learning Spanish. He was a fan of English Premier Soccer and his favorite team was Liverpool.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at John F. Fluehr & Sons 3301 Cottman Ave., Phila, PA 19149 from 7-9pm; and again on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 9-10am. A funeral mass will take place at St. Matthew Church 3000 Cottman Ave., Phila, PA 19149 beginning at 10:30am; interment to follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, Pa.
