Michael was born March 12, 1952 at Kent General Hospital to the late William (Buck) Ridgway and Winifred Seeney. He departed this life peacefully to be with the lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
He went to Cheswold School. He worked at Van Holden Pickle House until it closed, and then went to Dover Laundry. He was an avid fan of wrestling and the Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved western movies and listening to the Golden Oldies.
He was preceded in death by his father, William (Buck) Ridgway; brother, Billy Woodall; and stepfather, Smith Seeney, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Winifred Seeney; sons, Michael Bradley and Harry (Renee) Hampton; three brothers, Anthony (Tony) Ridgway, Timmy Summers, and Smith Seeney; three sisters, Marie Ridgway, Lillian "Sam" Freeman, and Margaret "Sissy" Seeney (Johnny); three granddaughters and one grandson. He leaves behind a special friend, Kenny Goldsboro of New Jersey, who was like a brother; a special niece, Brook Seaman, who helped take care of him along with a special cousin, Marsha Kosek. He had a special bond with his niece, Lindsey Seaman and great niece, Hazella Harmon. Along with a host of other nieces and nephews; two aunts, Connie Johnson and Sissy Ridgway; special friend, Diane Hughes and a special cousin, Arlena (Pinky) Coker.
There will be no services due to Mikey's wishes. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
A special thanks to the Hospice (Aveanna) program, and his angels Kathy and Lois who provided excellent care.
Sympathy cards may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
